Scrappy’s Frozen Treats Rebrand

Scrappy's Frozen Treats is the house-made ice cream brand at UNT Dining Services.

Scrappy's is an iconic brand and tradition at UNT. At freshman orientation, students get their first scoop of the made-on-campus treat. School spirit is abundant at UNT, and having an ice cream brand named after the mascot certainly contributes to that.

Part of the rebrand was addressing the scope of Scrappy's products – traditional ice creams, vegan "ice creams", milkshakes, popsicles and more to come. Due to this, we decided to call it Scrappy's Frozen Treats instead of Scrappy's Ice Cream.

When I was tasked with rebranding Scrappy’s, I was excited to give it some Mean Green spirit. Drag the arrows to see before and after.

To fully encompass all that Scrappy’s and its 26 different flavors have to offer, I developed the brand to be bright, exciting and just as colorful as it was asking to be.
