Three creative concepts following a rock and roll theme for the UNT Alumni office’s 2026 summer tour.
I was assigned to make a vertical social media post with the knowledge that the art will later be used to create t-shirts and postcards.
In concept 1 we leaned more towards a retro rock theme. I chose to draw the “Mean Green Machine”, an old Model A often seen at UNT events, to help with the idea of a roadtrip.
Concept 2 went towards grunge. I drew the iconic plush Lucky and Scrappy keychains that many students, faculty, staff and alumni own. I guarantee you’ll see one while walking campus! Given that they’re keychains, they aided with the roadtrip idea.
Concept 3 was inspired by old rock t-shirts. Again utilizing the Model A, I created a simple design that blends modern with vintage.
